Atlanta holds a sweet little place in my heart as I have several friends residing there who are near and dear to me. I’ve known Amber for quite sometime now, as we met back in our college track and field days when she attended the University of Georgia. We have a mutual best friend, Randi, who was also my former college roommate at the University of Central Florida, where we also ran track. (Yes, this short girl used to be a sprinter!) Since then, we’ve stayed connected through Randi, so I couldn’t have been more excited to get the call that she was tying the knot and an Atlanta engagement session was in order! Time to book flights… 😉
Amber and Emmanuel are seriously one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing! After learning of their equal love for football and great food, they went on their first date and it was from then on that they became inseparable. What an incredible feeling and blessing it must be to know after your first date pretty much that you have just met your soulmate…and that’s kind of how it went for these two! I’m so excited to share highlights of what turned out to be an incredible day spent with these two best friends.
I flew into Atlanta first thing in the morning and was greeted with nothing but smiles! We took a trip over to the Westside Provisions District which is just minutes from Downtown. The scenery was a beautiful change from the always lovely palms of South Florida, but the company is truly what surpassed it all. Seriously, how cute are they?!
These smiles didn’t stop the whole way through. (MY cheeks were hurting.) As self proclaimed foodies, we had to incorporate a little treat into their engagement session…and Jeni’s was the perfect spot!
As much as they were having fun, I got to sneak in a little treat myself and it was like heaven in my mouth! This place should be on your “top places to visit” if you’re ever headed out to Atlanta!
Our next stop was at the incredible and Historic Fourth Ward Park located along the belt line. This location was absolutely a photographer’s dream.
I don’t think I’ve ever smiled so much during a session just watching a couple interact! It was clear that whether it was exploring the park, or taking in the city views these two have fun no matter what! I was actually sad the day was coming to an end, but we had one more stop!
I was so excited to see their wedding venue and Amber came up with a fun idea of throwing on a gown with some combat boots for this next one, which of course made my heart flutter! They love adventure, but one of Emmanuel’s favorite past times typically includes his bike, so it was only fitting to end the session with them riding off into the city with his future bride!
Thank you guys for bringing me out to enjoy the sunshine, some Jeni’s ice-cream, and a ton of laughs! While this Atlanta engagement session was a blast, I absolutely cannot wait for your NYE wedding celebration!!!
