After a week of travels, I am heading into this weekend with my heart full. Spending time with my family this week in St. Louis was amazing. Despite the awesome chaos it can be to have 6 kids running around non stop…I remember these were my best memories growing up. Knowing that these memories are what we are creating and weaving into their little lives at this moment as well is priceless.
Well as many of you know or can imagine, when you have a lot of toddlers together, you are naturally going to have a lot of “teaching moments” if you will ;-). This week we definitely worked a lot on loving our cousins and others well. We realize how important it is to always lead by example.
While I hope to share some of these stories soon, for now I will just share a little snippet. I had the opportunity to photograph some really special families and bless a couple through gift sessions during my visit. As the sessions unfolded, the humility and gratefulness left me feeling so humbled. I returned home from the sessions feeling immensely blessed by the love they showed me in return.
It was a full circle moment for me and a sweet reminder of what we are trying to teach and model for our boys. I hope that as you go into the weekend, it’ll be a reminder to you as well that small things you do or say to others can actually leave a huge impact in their lives…and maybe your own.
